Liz trained full-time for 5 years at UK university undergraduate and post graduate courses to become a Chinese medicine herbalist and acupuncturist. Before coming to the Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre, Liz worked with Chris Dance at his clinic in Hove and before that she worked for three years specialising in the treatment of painful conditions. Recently, she completed an intensive year long herbal course in dermatology and has also undergone post-graduate studies in gynecology, fertility, and digestive diseases with the leading experts in these fields.
As a member and council member of the leading registration body of herbal medicine in the UK, Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM), Liz sources all her herbs from RCHM Approved Suppliers to ensure safety and quality. As a former council member, she has strongly backed the council's efforts to protect endangered species.
As an acupuncturist, Liz works closely with all her patients to achieve the best outcome. With agreement, she may use moxibustion, heat-lamp, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, herbs, cupping or Chinese medicine nutrition to maximise the effectiveness of treatment.
