I can't remember a time when I wasn't passionate about food, healthy eating and the fundamental connections between mind and body. Even as a teenager I was fascinated by the effect of food and the environment on people's mood. While friends drank or smoked I preferred to indulge in a cup of herbal tea!
Over time, I came to understand that our complex relationship with food is often driven by the fundamental aspects in our lives – our relationships, our work life, spirituality and exercise. If those "Primary Foods" aren't nourished then a dysfunctional relationship with actual food (Secondary Foods) can be one of the symptoms.
Helping people improve physical and mental wellbeing, which in turn leads to better food choices, is something I feel very strongly about. I am dedicated in supporting my clients to release negative emotions and limited belief patterns so they learn to enjoy food and take pleasure from it, rather than enduring a destructive relationship which impacts on every aspect of their lives, sapping confidence and damaging their health.
As well as offering 1-2-1 transformational health coaching in Brighton and working on Skype with clients internationally, I also run workshops and group programmes.
Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamt of being a makeup artist. I followed that dream and had a successful career for 20 years. It was an exciting role which allowed me to travel the globe, taught me to think on my feet and helped me discover trust and integrity are vital for a successful working relationship – qualities which are also paramount in my coaching work. Becoming a mother to two delightful daughters was my time to then focus on my family and so I decided to change career and find something that followed my passion of healthy living and nutritious food. I came across the world-renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and it was there that I was able to train professionally in health and wellness.
