BHWC Information (Updated 1.12.2021) :

Due to the number of staff sick with COVID19, we are changing our services for a limited time.

To keep everyone safe we will be operating a phone appointment service for routine appointments and we will be closing our front door from Thursday 2nd December. We will no longer book routine appointments for 1 week and then review. You may attend the surgery if you have a pre-booked blood test, immunisation or review booked. There may be delays in contacting you or last-minute cancellations or changes.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption – we will return to normal services just as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Robin Hood Health Foundation

Robin Hood Health Foundation is our charity (Reg No: 1169072) that we established to relieve sickness and promote health for patients of the Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre by improving access to non-NHS treatment choices. The charity helps fund courses of complementary therapies and healing arts services available at the Centre for those in need on low income.

We donate £4 from every hour of complementary therapy given at the Centre, and we welcome donations to help us keep up with the high demand for treatments.

To donate, please use the Paypal button below. Thank you so much. We and our patients really appreciate anything you can give. Thank you.

Your Feedback

Attended 11 treatment sessions between Sept18-Feb19.

Arrived with nerve pain and limited movement. I got an immediate sense after first session that I would benefit from the treatment. After a few sessions, I seemed to be responding well to treatment and had the confidence to stop taking painkillers and gabapentin.

Practitioner very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. Keen to pass on knowledge and offered excellent advice which will stay with me forever (thanks Rufus)!

Previous to joining the programme, limited savings were being used to pay for private treatment. It was therefore a great relief to join the subsidised treatment programme as I felt I could attend regular sessions without having to worry about where the money was coming from to cover the cost of treatment. I found the complementary therapy extremely beneficial and it has given me the confidence to think I can lead a normal, pain free life once again.

Overall, I felt the treatment I received was excellent and speeded up my recovery for which I am very grateful.

Kind Regards
