Anna Tarjan – Accupunture

Anna Tarjan

Traditional Acupuncturist

Are you in physical pain that controls how you live your day-to day life? Are your thoughts revolving around what you can’t do? Anna may be the right person to help you regain your freedom to show up in your life the way that you want to, the way that you would, if only it didn’t hurt.

Anna was working as a community pharmacist when a knee injury brought her to a physiotherapist’s couch, who also happened to practice acupuncture. The effects of the treatment blew her mind so much, that she decided to study acupuncture herself. In the process she discovered that acupuncture could help with far deeper issues than musculoskeletal injuries, and that Chinese Medicine offered a world view that strangely complemented Western Medicine. She completed her acupuncture degree at the International College of Oriental Medicine in 2018.

She volunteered for Macmillan until the Covid-19 Pandemic forced face to face treatments to pause. In the summer of 2020, she joined the Acupuncture for NHS Project to help NHS staff cope with their extreme workload due to the pandemic.

Most of Anna’s clients come to her seeking relief from physical pain, only to discover that other aspects of their health and wellbeing also greatly improve. They become more resilient to stress and find it easier to reach their aspirations.

In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, swimming, dancing, learning languages, reading and having a laugh with her friends.
